Digital divide become problem in Developing Country. Lack of Information Communication Technology infrastructure and high cost license software, make high cost for Internet user. The effect of the problems, people become difficult to get global information. Finally, Developing country people difficult to make progress in live and economy. The problems also effect to community and personal to find business breakthrough and business opportunity.
Based on Declaration World Summit on the Information Society, December 2003 at Jenewa and based on research of United Nation Conference on Trade Development (UNCTAD) in 2003, the Developing Country was recommended to use Open Source Software ( OSS).
What are the advantages to use Open Source Software (OSS), please read our description below,
1.The OSS will help the Developing Country in order to give opportunity to their people, to be creative to improve software. Create software for business and Government with low cost. So the people can improve their economy by using ICT.
2.More effective in budget. Give stimulation to industry in order to improve software business and Information Communication Technology industry. Because license software is expensive for Developing.
3.There is no difference between personal license and community license, so that decrease Intellectual Property right problem.
4.Helping people, community and business people to get global information easily, decrease digital divide problem, find more niche international market.
5.Helping people, community, business people, students that use computer desktop,and laptop operation system, decrease cost for buy license software.
